Hello, and welcome to my corner of the internet! I’m Alicia, a 32-year-old who, like many of us, has spent a good part of my life trying to figure out what it means to truly live authentically. It’s a journey filled with highs and lows, moments of clarity, and plenty of messy, imperfect experiences. And that’s exactly why I started this blog.
As women, especially in the middle part of our lives, there is an overwhelming expectation to have it all together. We’re supposed to excel in our careers, maintain an organized home, nurture relationships, be amazing parents (or plan to be), stay socially active, find time for self-care, master personal finance, and just…thrive in every aspect of life. It’s exhausting and, quite frankly, unrealistic.
I’ve spent years doing what I thought I was “supposed to do,” conforming to societal expectations and checking off boxes on a predefined list. But now, I’m choosing a different path—a path where I focus on what brings me joy, where it’s okay to be messy, make mistakes, and learn along the way.
On this blog, I’ll share my passions and interests, like the joy of picking out the perfect gifts for loved ones, exploring the world of investing and wealth building, my quest for healthy(ish) living, and my love for sports, particularly volleyball. I’m a huge fan of Harry Potter and a habitual viewer of The Office—because sometimes, a little humor and magic are all you need to get through the day. I also have dreams of fostering children and spreading kindness in a world that can always use more love.
Most importantly, I want to create a community where we can all be ourselves, where everyone feels valued and heard. A space to share experiences, support one another, and celebrate life’s beautiful chaos.
So, whether you’re here to find a kindred spirit, seek inspiration, or just enjoy some good old-fashioned storytelling, I’m thrilled to have you join me on this journey. Let’s embrace the mess together and make the most of this wild ride called life!
Thank you for being here, and I can’t wait to connect with you all.
